Psalms 31:10-19; Matthew 26:26-35
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
So God doesn’t show favorite amongst His children. He loves us all the same and He blesses us all in His own way because we are His children. However, it needs to be said that His love for us is beyond all that we understand. As humans, we are all born as sinners and unpleasing to Him. We have lived apart from Him and we deserve it for He is holy and righteous, when we are not. But He loves us so much that He wanted to be reconciled with us. That proves just how much He loves us. Isn’t that amazing!
Our God loves us so much that even though we were sinners and turned our backs on Him, He sent His one and only Son to die for us! Who would ever sacrifice their most treasured thing for someone else who not only didn’t deserved it but hated us. That kind of love is not human! But we got it. We have it and because of it, we have been reunited with God.
“Dear Lord, thank you for letting Your Son die at the cross. Thank you for loving us so much. Please remind us of that love each and everyday. I hope that I will never forget it because You love us so much, You sacrificed everything to have us again. Thank You Jesus. In Your Name I pray, Amen.”
