OUR PURPOSE

The Bible in One Year:
Titus 2
Golden Verse
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
(Mark.16:15)

Everyone walking on this earth has a purpose. We are made with a purpose. Not just to walk aimlessly and live everyday with nothing to reach for. Whatever purpose God has set in your life, is your own, based on the talents and giftings God has given you. But along with our personal purpose, we as children of God, has a united purpose. One for all and that is to spread the gospel to the ends of the world.

When you hear something good. Maybe some good news about yourself or someone you know. An example would be, if you found out your mother is pregnant again and you are about to have a baby sister or brother. Wouldn’t you want to tell the whole world about it? Or if you found out that your favorite soccer team has just won the World Cup! Wouldn’t you be on social media, blasting it to all of your followers? Now the same with the gospel. The fact that Jesus came and died for our sin so we no longer have to live as sinners, is the best news there is. Better than the news about Germany winning the World Cup or you going to have a baby sister or brother, because this news about Jesus affects everybody! And this news is all about our eternal life. Man, we don’t have to live in hell after we die! Isn’t that glorious? So that kind of news, need to be spread around so other people can get in it too. As Christians, that is our purpose, to tell others about Jesus and hope everyone we know can join us in eternity, partying up with us and with Jesus too!

Sometimes it’s not the strength but gentleness that cracks the hardest shells.
(Richard Paul Evans)
Prayer:
“Lord, thank you for dying on the cross. Give me opportunities to speak out of Your love and to show Your love to anyone I come in contact with and give me the courage to speak boldly of You. In Your name I pray. Amen.”
