The Bible in One Year:
Romans 15:14-33
Golden Verse
“Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times’” .
(Mat. 18:21-22)

If you have not realized it by now, we are all sinful creatures and by that I mean, we are constantly sinning. It’s in our human nature. It means that we are going to continuously mess up in our relationships with other people and disappoint those whom we love. What we then need to understand is that we undoubtedly are going to be constantly disappointed by other too. So forgiving each other one time is not ideal. When we’re in relationship with people, we are more likely have to forgive them over and over again. In the Scripture, Jesus commands us to forgive our brothers (or sisters) who have sin against us not just seven times but seventy-seven times. By that he means that we have to forgive at all times.

Adopting the attitude of forgiveness early on in life will be much easier for you in the long run. So start forgiving others now!

“Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too.” – Will Smith.
“Dear Lord, please teach me to be able to forgive without reserve. Teach me to have the patience to deal with people in a loving manner. And Lord, thank you for always forgiving me because I know I’ve done many wrongs, but you forgave me anyway. Help me to be more like you. In your name I pray, Amen!”
