The Bible in One Year:
Luke 15:1-10
Golden Verse
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Rome 5:8)

One thing that differentiates Christianity from other religions is that being a Christian means being in relationship with our God. It entails a personal relationship between two beings in a very intimate way. And the first thing that we learn even as we were going through Sunday School while we were younger, is that God loves us sooooo much that He gave His one and only Son.

I mean, that’s intense! He loves us to the point that He was willing to give His son away to be killed. And mind you, this means God loves you and me and even all the people who may not deserve much love, such as murderers, thieves, rapist, terrorists, etc.

But in God’s eyes, He was willing to give up His precious son for all of His people. Never again, was a sacrifice greater than the one God made. And that statement and action (Jesus dying on the cross for all of mankind) differentiates Christianity from everyone else, because it means, God made the first step to reach out to us. He made the sacrifice first without ever getting to know us and all the sins we’d end up doing. If that’s not love, then I don’t know what is.

I deserve nothing, but God gives me everything (Anonymous)
“Dear Lord, thank you so much for the love You have given to us. Help me to become grateful everyday for it and to learn to love like You. May I learn to love those around me who are hard to love, and need love the most. In Your Name I pray, Amen!”
