Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Moses died, now the time for Joshua to lead God’s people. The hard jobs make him afraid to take the responsibility of leading the Israelites. Why Joshua and also most of us felt the same? The reason is we found powerless to do something in our own strength.
Therefore in Joshua situation of frightens, the Word of God comes to him, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6). God gives the same verse to you.
Just come to the Lord and bear in mind of God’s presence even if you don’t feel it. He promises to go with you and to never leave you nor forsake you.
In the same time, developing long-term habits is important to maintaining your faith. A daily devotional will keep you in the Word and enhance your prayer life. It will also keep you closer to God even when you struggle with circumstance (Read Philippians 2:12-13).
“Dear Jesus, help me to stay firm in the power of You in me. Amen”
