II Peter 2
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself
Nowadays, we are living in a time of “cuek/incurious.” People do not care for each other and it results in bad relationships. As a teen you have relationship with many people. For example at your school you have your teachers, friends, school staff and many others.
While at the church you have pastors, mentors and other. Also in the environment around your house, you have built relationship with people.
We know that building relationship is not easy. We tend to have relationship with people who share some common interest with us. But actually we should try to relate to all kinds of people. Jesus gave us the two great commandments that can be the foundation for us to build a good relationship.
Jesus said, “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:39). Only when we love people as ourselves, can we build a good relationship with others. But, don’t forget, the first commandment to love the Lord completely is as important to us to be able to love others.
“Jesus, I want to be able to love people as I love myself. Please put your love inside of me so I can share it with others. Hallelujah, Amen. “
