The Bible in One Year:
Philipians 1
Golden Verse
And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
(1 Sam 3:10)

Friends, listening carefully is a good way to understand whatever your parents, teachers or friends say to you. It helps you to become a good listener and of course a good person, but do you know what “Listen Carefully” means? It means paying thorough attention to someone who is speaking. By doing that, you will find it easier to understand and perform what the person says.

Time seems rushing along these days and as Teenz, it’s hard for us to listen carefully to what God has to say about what He wants us to do in our lives. You may be busy with your homework, extra-curricular activities, watching TV programs or playing games in your laptop. You need to know that God wants you to listen to HIS voice daily. While you go to school, do your duty as a student, keep turning on “what God speaks in your heart” as Samuel said, “Here I am, Lord, speak to me, I am listening to You.”

Samuel, as a young man could not understand what God said to him three times. He failed, but after Eli, his mentor, helped him, finally Samuel was able to realize it. Do you want to be like Samuel and to listen to God carefully? You will need a spiritual mentor. Consult him or her to help you and eventually you will be able to recognize God’s voice yourself.

Read the Bible every day and pray a lot. Those are the important things to do to increase your ability to listen to and recognize HIS voice for you. And another most important thing is you need to obey HIM.

“Of all human activities, man’s listening to God is the supreme act of his reasoning and will.”(Pope Paul VI)
“Dear Lord, I want to listen to your voice. Please help me to have a spiritual mentor who will teach me how to listen to you. Give me a passion for listening to your Word and send your Holy Spirit to lead me to glorify your name. Amen “
