A RIVER OR A POOL?

The Bible in One Year:
Acts 14
Golden Verse
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
(Proverbs 11:11)

Everything on earth was made with purpose. For example, water was made to give life to the living creatures. Plants were made to produce air and food for animals and people. And even unmovable possessions like homes were made by men to give protection from heat and cold.

And if those things were made with purpose, so are we. God knows what we were made for. That is, to act as God’s hands in sharing His love and blessings.

He is the source of love and blessings. He provides us with a never ending love and blessings. But those love and blessings will be meaningless if we keep them for ourselves. Like a pool that continually receives water and keeps it there. Someone has to get to the pool to be able to use the water.

God wants us to spread His love and blessings to others. Just like a river. Water streams out of a spring and flows far away down through a river to be of benefit to everything it passes.

God has given us His love and blessings, and it is our responsible to share it with others. It’s up to you, whether you choose to be a selfish pool or a useful river. Choose wisely!

You cannot share love and blessings to others without spill a little of it on yourself.
Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, i thank you for all your love and blessing. Please help me not to be selfish and keep your blessing love to myself. Help me to share it with anyone in need. In your name i pray. Amen.”
