In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye.
Deuteronomy 32:10 (NIV)
“Honey, how was school?” Your mom or dad usually asks you that question. What will be your answer? Will the image of the bully in your class come into your mind? Are you afraid of telling your parents how you feel?
An unknown author wrote “Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death”. You need to grow in God’s word. Romans 10:17 says So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (NKJV). That’s the only way to feed your faith and as you grow stronger in faith, there’s no room for fear to grow. Then you will be able to stand up for yourself.
Talking to your parents about what you’re going through is necessary. That way, you and your parents can come up with a solution. You can also talk to your mentor who is mature spiritually.
You know, those bullies usually lean on artificial things such as their parents’ wealth or position. The good news is you have unearthly wealth and riches, and an important position in God’s kingdom. So let’s not focus on your down feeling, rather on your well being. Remember that you are precious.
“Dear Lord, thank you for this precious life. Thank you for caring, loving and guarding me as the apple of Your eye. I know I am precious and I am not afraid anymore. Help me to be brave. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.”
