Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.
Last week, you found out that you barely passed for that Algebra exam but your friends who all looked and cheated at their contekan received A’s. The Saturday after that, you told your friends that you couldn’t come to the club because you had to wake up early for church. Later you found out they had so much fun. Last Tuesday, you tried hard not to laugh (and succeeded) when the class bully is making fun of your weird classmate and everyone noticed you weren’t laughing with them. And after soccer practice, your soccer teammates offered cigarettes but you said, “No thanks, I don’t like smoking.” Since then, they never pass the ball to you. And just today, they were exchanging porn pictures of other school girls through Bluetooth. Now you’re just pathetic in their eyes.
Following Jesus was, is and never will be easy. But the Scriptures say in verse 18 that wicked will be destroyed in the end and that there’s no greater joy than to be near God and to be safe in His shelter. By keeping yourself pure and keeping your covenant with the Lord, He will bless you in ways that you’ll never possibly imagine.

“O Holy God, You are my God. Keep my heart from being wicked and sinful as I run to Your presence and sanctuary of peace, comfort and joy.”
